MarchNet is pleased to announce the company has secured an initial $1.5M+ contract for a large-scale telecommunications services project, partnering with KGL Resources, for the Jervois Base Metal Project, located 270km ENE of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway, Northern Territory.
After completing a detailed Desktop Design and Site Survey in 2021, MarchNet is proud to have been successful in winning the contract with KGL Resources in a competitive process. MarchNet is excited to be working with KGL to deliver high speed internet and Layer 2 data services initially to the Mine Camp, with capacity and capability to expand across the site as construction commences, and eventually as the site transitions to operations. We also look forward to supporting the local communities and landholders in the areas surrounding the proposed MarchNet telecommunications sites.
“The successful execution of contracts for the Jervois Project is a great confirmation of MarchNet’s standing in the market. We are committed to delivering smarter telecommunications networks into regional and remote areas and this partnership with KGL Resources is a perfect fit for both businesses”, said Geoff Marsh, MarchNet Chief Operating Officer.
Romana McNamara, MarchNet Project Manager leading the delivery of the Jervois telecommunications project, added “I’m particularly looking forward to working with the local businesses and Traditional Owners during the project as we expand our network and provide connectivity to those who are currently most isolated.”
MarchNet has commenced planning, access arrangements, and equipment procurement with full delivery of the initial scope on track for mid-2022.
