SunWater is a Queensland Government-owned corporation responsible for the operation and maintenance of 19 major dams, 63 weirs, 80 major pumping stations and over 2,500 Km of pipelines and open channels. As Sunwater operates in remote locations around Queensland, reliable connectivity has been a challenge. MarchNet has been engaged for several works packages by Sunwater. For Sunwater’s Paradise Dam, MarchNet designed and rapidly delivered communications services to a temporary construction office, as well as the permanent control office. This provided low latency private network access via a carrier microwave to Sunwater’s core network and data centre infrastructure.
To determine the best connectivity options for Sunwater, at their remote locations, MarchNet has been engaged to do detailed Connectivity Evaluations and Design Studies. MarchNet then prepares detailed reports to help Sunwater make smarter decisions for allocation of taxpayer funds.
