Reedy Creek Village

March IT was engaged to design, supply and install a remote internet service, with 90Mbps of bandwidth, and a Wi-Fi solution to the village after the Reedy Creek village was commissioned.

March IT was engaged to design, supply and install a remote internet service, with 50Mbps of bandwidth, and a Wi-Fi solution to the village after the village was commissioned.  March IT connected the site via a new fixed wireless repeater tower in under four weeks, providing connectivity before Christmas. The village had an existing fibre optic network throughout, providing the ideal platform for in-room Wi-Fi coverage.

The solution provided a secure 5Mbps/5Mbps to each and every room in the village.  March IT’s mandate was to deliver a level of service sufficient for every resident to connect with their family from their room, via Skype or FaceTime, simultaneously, without interruption and without exception. March IT was able to:

• Connect people working in remote places to their families and friends
• Improve productivity by providing reliable telecommunications in remote places
• Reduce the impact of isolation for those working in remote places
• Deliver reliable communications to a site where limited/no 3G service was available
